INTERNATIONAL buyer interest in the highly anticipated $550 million Dusit Thani Brookwater Resort and Spa is swelling, with enquiries flooding in from Vietnam, India and Korea.
Dusit Thani Brookwater Golf and Spa Resort CEO and Executive Vice Chairman of Maxsen World Group (UK and Hong Kong) Richard W. Turner said that the development had been selling up to four apartments a week to international and local buyers.
National real estate agency groups including LJ Hooker, Ray White and Coldwell Banker have also signed up to sell the apartments to the local market, along with the lead project marketer Oliver Hume.
“Dusit Thani Brookwater signals a new level of luxury for the Australian residential market. People can stay in a resort development with 24-hour concierge services and country club facilities. It’s a unique opportunity in this region and buyers around the world want to be part of it,” Mr Turner said.
Project marketer Oliver Hume revealed that it was also looking into new overseas markets, like Japan, Dubai and Singapore.
“As well as receiving strong interest from Asian buyers, we have also signed UK agents to the project and we are currently in talks with multiple London-based agencies,” said Oliver Hume Joint Managing Director Marcus Buskey.
Initial infrastructure works for the resort are currently being undertaken, with full construction anticipated to start in January 2016.
Upon completion of all phases, The Dusit Thani Brookwater Golf and Spa Resort will feature 520 apartments, a Central Resort Pavilion of 15,000sqm, six private clubs including the Dusit Executive Club, Family Aquatic Club including water play area, Central Recreation Club, International Tennis Club, Family Club and South Rec Club, plus the 12,000sqm Retail Emporium and a world-class state of the art conference, convention and exhibition centre, all centred around Queensland’s number 1 ranked Greg Norman Golf Course.
